Jessica Alimena, BS, IBCLC, is a lactation consultant with Atlanta Lactation who combines expertise with a warm, family-centered approach. A former microbiologist and mom of four boys, she brings both professional knowledge and many years of lived experience to her practice. Her clinical focus includes breastfeeding challenges, pumping, bottle feeding, oral function concerns, and return-to-work planning, with special interests in maternal and infant nutrition as well as perinatal mental health. Jessica is currently pursuing Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) and is passionate about supporting families holistically, always recognizing how feeding choices affect—and are affected by—mental health and family dynamics. Known for her compassionate, encouraging style, she is passionate about helping parents move from overwhelm to confidence by offering evidence-based strategies that are sustainable, realistic, and that honor both the baby’s needs and the family’s well-being. Outside of her lactation practice, Jessica homeschools her four boys and enjoys hiking and backpacking adventures with her family and friends.
